CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Wyatt welcomed everyone to the meeting of the Resaca City Council.

 

INVOCATION

Councilmember Todd Rutledge led the meeting in prayer.

 

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Mayor Wyatt led the council meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag.

 

MINUTES

Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from the May meeting. Councilmember Talley made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes. Councilmember Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor, the motion passed. Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to approve the minutes from the May meeting. Council member Talley made the motion to accept the minutes. Councilmember Adams  seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.

 

 

 

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

GA Power Agreement

Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to ratify the approval of lighting service agreement with GA Power to take over North Pointe Subdivision. Councilmember Talley made the motion to approve. Councilmember Adams seconded. All in favor. The motion passed unanimously.

 

Mauldin Trash Service Agreement

Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to approve the service agreement. Councilmember Adams made motion to approve. Council member Rutledge seconded. All in favor. The motion passed unanimously.

 

Alcohol License for Love Foodmart

Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to approve the license for beer and wine sales at Love Foodmart. Counci member Talley made a motion to approve. Councilmember Adams seconded.  All in favor. The motion passed unanimously.

 

Amend qualifying fee for Mayor

Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to amend the fee for Mayor from 75.60 to 147.60.  Councilmember Adams made a motion to amend fee. Councilmember Talley seconded. All in favor. The motion passed unanimously.

 

Ballfield Lights

Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to accept the $5,188.00 quote from Grady Burgess Electrical to replace ballfield lights. The Town will use Splost 2018 funding.  Councilmember Talley made a motion to approve. Councilmember Rutledge seconded. All in favor. The motion passed unanimously.

 

Painting Town Hall

Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to approve sealed bid for town hall painting. The Town will use Splost 2018 funding. The first bid is from H & H Services for 15,000.00. The second bid is from P2 Construction of 10,100.00. The third bid was not turned in. Councilmember Talley made a motion to approve the bid from H & H Services due to low quality of work from previous job work with lower bidding company. Councilmember Adams seconded. All in favor. The motion passed unanimously.

 

Gym Flooring

Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to approve the flooring tile quote for $6,300.00  (950 sq ft tile only) Labor not included. The Town will use Splost 2018 funding. Councilmember Adams made motion to approve quote. Councilmember Rutledge seconded. All in favor. The motion passed unanimously.

SHERIFFS DEPT

Sergeant Holland gave the report for May.  The report is attached to minutes.

 

LIGHTS

 

RECREATION

Councilmember Rutledge gave the recreation report. Report is attached.

 

ROADS AND STREETS

Mayor Wyatt reported that Allied is waiting on a day for CSX to allow bore. The hole at Love Foodmart has been patched again.

 

 

MAINTENANCE REPORT

Councilmember Talley reported general duties performed. The playground will have a maintenance checklist performed regularly.

Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to close the meeting.  Councilmember Talley made the motion to close the meeting. Councilmember Adams seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
