CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Wyatt welcomed everyone to the meeting of the Resaca City Council.
INVOCATION
Councilmember Brant Talley led the meeting in prayer.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Wyatt led the council meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance to the United
States flag.
MINUTES
Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from the
November meeting. Councilmember Talley made a motion to waive the reading of
the minutes. Councilmember Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor, the
motion passed. Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to approve the minutes from the
November meeting. Councilmember Talley made the motion to accept the minutes.
Councilmember Adams seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.

NEW BUSINESS
350 Dump Truck Repair
Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to open voting. Councilman Talley made the
motion to open voting. Councilmember Adams seconded. Mayor Wyatt asked for a
motion to approve the quote of $3,500.00 from Carroll’s Garage to repair the truck.
Councilmember Adams made the motion to approve repairs. Councilman Rutledge
seconded. All in favor. The motion passed.
2023 Alcohol License (New)
Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to open voting. Councilmember Adams made the
motion. Councilmember Talley seconded. Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to
approve the 2023 Alcohol License for Resaca Convenience. Councilmember Talley
made the motion. Councilmember Rutledge seconded. All in favor. The motion
passed.
2024 Alcohol License Renewals
Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to open voting for renewals. Councilmember
Adams made the motion. Councilmember Rutledge seconded. All in favor. Mayor
Wyatt asked for a motion to approve renewals for Resaca Convenience, Flying J.,
ASU Foodmart, USA Foodmart, and Resaca Express Mart. Councilmember
Adams made the motion to approve. Councilmember Talley seconded the motion.
All in favor. The motion passed.

DEPARTMENT REPORTS

SHERIFF’S DEPT
Sergeant Holley gave the report for November. The report is attached to minutes.
RECREATION
Councilmember Rutledge gave the recreation report. Report is attached.
ROADS AND STREETS
No updates to report.

LIGHTS
Councilmember Adams reports several lights were out and needed to be replaced.
MAINTENANCE REPORT
Councilmember Talley reports general maintenance duties.
OPEN FLOOR
Mayor Wyatt welcomed Rodney Curtis to speak. Mr. Curtis introduced himself and
shared some of his visions and goals for the community. He will be running for
Sherriff of Gordon County in 2024.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to close the meeting. Councilmember Talley
made the motion to close the meeting. Councilmember Rutledge seconded the
motion. All in favor. Motion passed.
