CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Wyatt welcomed everyone to the meeting of the Resaca City Council.
INVOCATION
Councilman Todd Rutledge led the meeting in prayer.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Wyatt led the council meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance to the United
States flag.
SWEARING IN OF ELECTED OFFICIALS
Mayor Wyatt performed the oath of office for incumbent Sandra Adams,
Councilwoman Post 4 and newly elected official Rene Keese, Councilwoman Post
3.
MINUTES
Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from the
December meeting. Councilman Rutledge made a motion to waive the reading of
the minutes. Councilman Keese seconded the motion. All in favor, the motion
passed. Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to approve the minutes from the
December meeting. Councilman Keese made the motion to accept the minutes.
Councilwoman Adams seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
NEW BUSINESS
Nothing under new business.
UPDATES & UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Community Center Bathrooms
Mayor Wyatt has no new updates for the renovation. Councilman Keese has been
assigned to take on the project and gather bids.
DEPARTMENT REPORTS
SHERIFF’S DEPT
Lt. Jack Jenkins gave the report for December. The report is attached to minutes.
RECREATION
Councilman Rutledge gave the recreation report. Report is attached. Councilman
Keese mentioned closing gym at 5:00 pm. Councilman Rutledge stated the gym
will remain open regular hours.
ROADS AND STREETS
No updates to report. Councilwoman Keese has been delegated to report on roads
and streets.
LIGHTS
No updates to report.
MAINTENANCE REPORT
No report for maintenance. Councilman Keese has been delegated for reporting
maintenance duties.
FROM THE FLOOR
Commissioner Chad Steward spoke on County business and updates.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to enter executive session to discuss personnel
matters at 7:16pm. Councilmember Keese
Executive session ended at 7:23pm.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to close the meeting. Councilwoman Keese made
the motion to close the meeting. Councilman Keese seconded the motion. All in
favor. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 7:24 pm.
