CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Wyatt welcomed everyone to the meeting of the Resaca City Council.

INVOCATION

Councilman Todd Rutledge led the meeting in prayer.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Mayor Wyatt led the council meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag.

MINUTES

Mayor Wyatt ask for a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from the November meeting. Councilman Austin made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes. Councilwoman Adams seconded the motion. All in favor, the motion passed. Mayor Wyatt asks for a motion to approve the minutes from the November meeting. Councilwoman Adams made the motion to accept the minutes. Councilman Niles seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.

NEW BUSINESS

Dominion Cell Tower
The public hearing was held last month for Dominion Tower Group. However ,Mr. Smith was present to speak at todays meeting. Mayor Wyatt agreed, as a courtesy, to open the floor for discussion on the cell tower. Mr. Smith addressed his concern to follow the ordinance and as an adjacent property owner he does not consent to the cell tower in Resaca.

Attorney Bowen added that there are certain setbacks that can be waived but the neighbors would have approve the setbacks.
Dominion Tower Group addressed the concerns of the tower height setback for Mr. Smith and explained the towers engineering. And explained there will be no liability to the town in the event the tower should collapse onto adjacent property. Also, the site chosen was best to suit their clients need.
Attorney Bowen suggested a special use permit to reach an agreement. Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to table the vote on the cell tower until January 12, 2021. Councilman Austin made the motion to table vote on cell tower. Councilman Niles Seconded. All in favor the motion passed.

Line of Credit Resolution for 2021
Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to approve the line of credit resolution for 2021. Councilwoman Adams made a motion to approve the line of credit. Councilman Rutledge. All in favor. The motion passed.

Northpointe manholes
Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to appove the 4 manholes at Northpointe. Councilwoman Adams made the motion to approve the manholes. Council Rutledge seconded. All in favor. The motion passed.

Approve Alcohol License
Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to approve Alcohol License for Resaca Grocery, Pilot/Flying J, Henok Food Mart, USA Foodmart and ASU Foodmart. Councilman Austin made the motion to approve the alcohol license. Councilwoman Adams seconded. All in favor. The motion passed.

ROAD AND STREETS
Nothing to report.

SHERIFFS DEPT
There is no report as of yet. It will be read in January’s meeting.

LIGHTS
Nothing new to report.

RECREATION
Councilman Rutledge gave the recreation report. Report is attached to minutes.

MAINTENANCE REPORT
Council Austin reported repairs and maintenance needed on the F-350 Dump truck. Totaling 4,500.00..

ADJOURNMENT

Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to close the meeting. Councilwoman Adams made the motion to close the meeting. Councilman Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor. Motion passed.
