CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Wyatt welcomed everyone to the meeting of the Resaca City Council.
INVOCATION
Councilman Todd Rutledge led the meeting in prayer.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Wyatt led the council meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag.
MINUTES
Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from the August meeting. Councilwoman Adams made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes. Councilman Talley seconded the motion. All in favor, the motion passed. Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to approve the minutes from the August meeting. Councilwoman Adams made the motion to accept the minutes. Councilman Talley seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
NEW BUSINESS
UPDATES
The culvert on Walker Street will be repaired by Allied Underground at approximately 2,000.00.
DEPARTMENT REPORTS
No updates to report
SHERIFFS DEPT
Lt. Jack Jenkins gave the report for August. The report is attached to minutes.
LIGHTS
Councilwoman Adams reports light has been fixed at Pinecrest Drive.
RECREATION
Councilman Rutledge gave the recreation report. Report is attached. Treadmills are being serviced and one will need a motor replacement. It is still under warranty with the manufacturer for motor repair.
ROADS AND STREETS
Councilman Niles reports Valley Lane will have to be cleared of gravel washing down driveway.
MAINTENANCE REPORT
Councilman Talley reported general work and cleaning. Debris removal, mowing, and weed eating. The Whitfield Co. Landfill will no longer be used for trash and debris disposal. Redbone Ridge Landfill in Gordon Co. will be used instead.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to close the meeting. Councilman Talley made the motion to close the meeting. Councilman Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor. Motion passed.
