REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING

CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Wyatt welcomed everyone to the meeting of the Resaca City Council.

INVOCATION

Councilman Todd Rutledge led the meeting in prayer.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Mayor Wyatt led the council meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag.

MINUTES

Mayor Wyatt ask for a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from the January meeting. Councilman Talley made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes. Councilwoman Adams seconded the motion. All in favor, the motion passed. Mayor Wyatt ask for a motion to approve the minutes from the January meeting. Councilman Talley made the motion to accept the minutes. Councilman Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.

NEW BUSINESS

Swearing in of elected official
Mayor Wyatt swore in Sandra Adams as councilmember.

USDA Change Order
Attorney Brandon Bowen explained the change order is to decrease the original contract price of $2,000,000.00 to $1,913,200.00. After it is signed it will be submitted to USDA for approval.  Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to sign the change order. Councilwoman Adams made the motion to sign. Councilman Talley seconded. All in favor the motion passed.

UPDATES

Mayor Wyatt made the announcement that the sewer taps are ready to be hooked up and used.

DEPARTMENT REPORTS
No updates to report

SHERIFFS DEPT
Lt. Jack Jenkins gave the report for January. The report is attached to minutes.

LIGHTS

RECREATION
Councilman Rutledge gave the recreation report. Report is attached.

ROADS AND STREETS
Councilman Talley reported pinestraw removed at Walker Street.

MAINTENANCE REPORT
Councilman Talley reported trash removal, street signs being replaced, cleaning community center, new flag on 41, tractor maintenance, & trash being hauled off.

ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to close the meeting. Councilwoman Adams made the motion to close the meeting. Councilman Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor. Motion passed.
