CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Allen called the meeting of the Resaca City Council to order.
INVOCATION
Mayor Allen asked Councilman Talley to lead the group in prayer.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Allen led the council meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag.
MINUTES
Councilman Talley made the motion to waive the reading of the minutes for the April 16, 2015. Councilman Barton seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
Mayor Pro Tem Reed made the motion to adopt the minutes as read. Councilman Barton seconded the motion. The motion was passed unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS
Additions to Agenda:
Battle of Resaca Sponsorship
Special Work Session to discuss the 2015-2016 Budget:
Mayor Pro Tem Reed made the motion to amend line item 51-1000 increasing it to $30,600 and same motion to amend line item 51-1006 to $25,000 and take it from line item 52-2210 leaving the balance on it $11,000 and putting $10,000 to Item 4000 – Public Works department. Councilman Barton seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
Vote to give $1,800 to the sponsorship of the Battle of Resaca for 2015-2016 year. Mayor Pro Tem Reed made the motion to sponsor the Battle. Councilman Barton seconded the motion. All in favor except Councilwoman Makonis refrained from voting.
Special work session Wednesday May 20, 2015 to discuss the budget for 2015-2016.

Sheriff’s Report
Lt. Jack Jenkins read the report – copy attached to minutes.
ROAD AND STREETS
They are doing the surveying on Church Street at the present time.
ORDINANCE OFFICER REPORT

LIGHTS
There was a light out on Taylor Ridge. The decorative light at Town Hall stays on continuously.
RECREATION
Councilman Talley gave the recreation report. Report is attached. Report is attached.

Councilman Barton made a motion to close the meeting. Councilman Talley seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
