REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING

 MINUTES

CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Allen called the meeting of the Resaca City Council to order.

INVOCATION

Mayor Allen asked Councilman Talley to lead the group in prayer.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Mayor Allen led the council meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag.

MINUTES

Councilman Talley made the motion to waive the reading of the minutes for the March 10, 2015. Mayor Pro Tem Reed seconded the motion.  The motion passed unanimously.

Councilman Talley made the motion to adopt the minutes as read. Councilman Barton seconded the motion. The motion was passed unanimously.

Councilman Talley made to motion to waive the reading of the special called meeting for March 30, 2015. Councilman Barton seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

Councilman Talley made the motion to adopt the minutes from the March 30, 2015 special called meeting. Councilman Barton seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

NEW BUSINESS

Vote on Dalton Utilities Franchise Ordinance

Mayor Pro Tem Reed made the motion to adopt the ordinance. Councilman Barton seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

Vote on the Sanitation Contract with Mauldin Trash Service

Councilman Talley made a motion to enter into a contract with Mauldin Trash Service for another year. Councilman Barton seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

 UPDATES

 Animal Control Contract

We are waiting on the County Attorney to reply back to County Administrator John King.

ORDINANCE OFFICER REPORT

 No report

LIGHTS

No problems – The light behind Roys Grocery has been fixed.

RECREATION

Councilman Talley gave the recreation report. Report is attached. Councilman Talley gave report on the Easter Egg Hunt. Report is attached.

MAINTENANCE and  COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT

 Councilman Barton said the pile behind the Ingle House is looking better.

ADJOURMENT

 Councilman Barton made a motion to close the meeting. Mayor Pro Tem Reed seconded the motion.  The motion passed unanimously.
