CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Allen welcomed everyone to the meeting of the Resaca City Council.
Councilman Todd Rutledge lead the meeting in prayer.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Allen led the council meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag.
Mayor Allen ask for a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from the March meeting Councilman Wyatt made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes. Councilman Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor, the motion passed. Mayor Allen ask for a motion to approve the minutes from August meeting. Councilwoman Adams made the motion to accept the minutes. Councilman Wyatt seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
Roof Fire Dept
Mayor Allen asked for a motion to accept the bid of 3150.00 to roof the fire station from Smith Construction. Councilman Wyatt made the motion to accept the bid. Councilman Rutledge seconded the bid. All in favor. The motion passed.
Adjust price for Community Center Rental – Tabled
Scotty and Tammy Bryant Annexation – Annexation papers and re-zoning application was given to Councilwoman Adams to deliver to the Bryants.
Taylor Ridge Road – Tabled
Dirt for Side Walk – Councilwoman Adams made a motion to get the dirt to fix the sidewalk area. Councilman Wyatt seconded. All in favor. The motion passed.
Sewer Project – Mayor Allen update on the new splost money – Gordon County is going to give Resaca $100,000 on a joint project. The Mayor would like to put $350,000.00 in the splost for a new town hall and the County would add an additional $100,000.00. He also put in $55,000 for roads and streets and the remaining $200,000 would be put toward the sewer loan.
ROAD AND STREETS
Councilman Wyatt gave a report on Streets.
Kelly Shaw gave the report. The report is attached to minutes.
Councilwoman Adams report no light problems at this time.
Councilman Rutledge gave the recreation report. Report is attached.
Nothing to report. Randy Wheat gave a report on the Easter Egg Hunt.
Mayor Allen asked for a motion to adjourn the meeting. Councilman Rutledge made a motion to close the meeting. Councilman Wyatt seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
